I was born and raised in Utah, U.S.A. I always loved to draw and paint and was encouraged by my parents. However, it wasn't until I started college that I found a passion for creating art. I finished a BFA in Illustration at Brigham Young University. I studied both Illustration at Syracuse University and Painting at UNCGreensboro. I have lived in many places, both in the U.S. and abroad and I feel like my experiences have deepened and informed what and how I create. I have enjoyed teaching art both to children and on the college level. I do commissioned portraiture, as well as illustration. I recently moved back to the U.S. and live near my favorite mountains with my husband and six amazing children.
